I'm DONE!!

Holy cow I'm a college grad! Wow sometimes I never thought this day would come but it's finally here. No more tests. No more papers. No more sitting through worthless classes (and there's been quite a few of those). And tomorrow I get to walk across the stage, receive my empty diploma book, and then spend the day celebrating with my family!! I can't wait!!!

Is it Thursday at 3:30 yet?

So....I'm studying for my final finals of my life, and I got to say...it's really hard. I'm trying to suck it up, study hard for a couple more days but seriously....drained. Sick of school. Completely. I'm ready for Thursday at 3:30 when I will be finished with the tests. Then I'm ready for Saturday to walk across the stage wearing my lovely cap and gown, shake the hand of some person I don't know, smile, take my empty diploma book, sit through the remainder of the ceremony, take pictures, and then go eat. The one thing that would make my graduation even better, if my grandma could be there to see it. I miss you Mimi!

Ok....back to studying.....(grumble,grumble)

We're in our new house. Well the house isn't new, it's actually been around for about 50 years, but it's new to us! WE HAVE SOOO MUCH SPACE!!! At our previous residence, the rockin' apartment, we were unable to put all the kitchen stuff in the kitchen. We had 2 boxes of cookware, mixers, tupperware and other misc. kitchen stuff in the closet of the office/guest room. But now....it all fits with room to spare! That's right, empty shelves! Another great thing about the new house is the master bedroom is ginormous so we're on the prowl for a KING size bed!! Oh my goodness I am pretty excited about this. The new bed will be large enough for us and our furry children. However I wonder if they'll sleep next to us or still continue to sleep on top of us....hmm...?
A downside to the new spacious house is Jeremy now wants a new t.v. A new, huge, needs its own room t.v. Um....yeah. I just don't know about that. It also doesn't help that my own father is giving him tips on ways to trick, weasel, and brown nose his way to obtaining the t.v. Oh goodness.
In other news, I went and saw Twilight last night. The movie was great, I thoroughly enjoyed it. There were many clapping, screaming, sighing, cheering young girls in the crowd, pretty amusing. They cheered when the curtains started going up. And oh my goodness you should've heard them when Edward appeared.....precious.
Well, watching OU, better go focus on it. BEAT TECH!!

*I promise to post pics of the new house.....someday...

So we're moving

For those of you unaware (if anyone even reads this thing) Jeremy and I are moving this weekend. WAIT! Don't panic! We're just moving up to "the city" into my grandparents' house. (I quote "the city" because being from "the city" I think it's funny that people refer to it as "the city") Anyway. Yeah so moving day is Saturday, of course, because that's when the cold front is supposed to move in. We have some great people coming to help us move, willing to give up their Saturday, climb up and down stairs, lift heavy, awkward shaped objects, load them into a truck, drive to "the city" and unload them. Whew! I'm so thankful for my awesome friends and family!

Then Sunday is my mom's celebration. Saturday marks her 15 year anniversary of being breast cancer free!! I'm so happy for her and proud of her. I can't imagine not having had her around these past 15 years. So we're (the fam) is throwing her a little shin-dig that includes Panda Garden (delicious), strawberry cake with strawberry frosting (double delicious), and maybe another event that involves a chick flick.

So crazy busy weekend. Perhaps someday I will post pictures of my awesome happenings. For now...it's off to class.

*Lori- please tell Cameron that I say "WWwwhhhhhhhaaaaaaaaaaattttttttttttt???

I know I know... I stink at blogging

So once again it's been about 8 years since my last post...eh. So since it's been some time since I've shared any happenings of my life, I shall try to fill you in. Well, to relate to my previous post, I took the Elementary Education Certification test in September and found out I passed that one too! YES!! Getting closer to having my own classroom and not paying for school! SUPER!! Cousin Lori is trying to convince me to forego student teaching and just start working with her in the spring semester. (Ifeel your pain Lori)

Another happening in the Looper fam, Jeremy and I are moving. Moving day is Nov. 15, a little less than five weeks. We'll be moving up to I-240 and Penn and will be living in my grandparents' house. So for the last few weeks and in the coming weeks til moving day, major cleaning has been going on at the future home. My grandparents never threw anything away, which equals lots of stuff. Seriously have found something from the last 5 decades...no joke. Old pay stubs, receipts, electric bills, letters, newspaper, magazines, etc. My older brother and I think it's pretty cool to see stuff "from the past", but my poor only child father is a little overwhelmed with the amount of stuff he has to go through. Anyone need any decorations for a birthday party from 1954? Because we totally have some!

Along with the cleaning, we have been remodeling the house. The house basically hadn't changed since the 60s, so the look was pretty outdated. And since Jeremy and I will be living there, my dad has allowed us to make decisions on textures, paint colors, tile, countertops, etc. One might be excited about that privilege right? Well this indecisive gal has been a wee bit overwhelmed. I mean, it's a lot of pressure to pick out things that will look good and match and actually look better than before. Jeremy helped me out and I think we picked some good colors. This past weekend we spent all weekend painting (and of course more cleaning). Luckily we took a break to watch the game...or...not so much. BOO!

We'll be having an estate sale Oct. 24 & 25 if anyone needs some furniture (most is actually fairly new) and then we have some other "antiques". Just throwing it out there.

Okay well I'm glad I took the time to post but I shouldn't keep putting off my paper any longer...or all the other homework and errands I have to do.

It's been awhile...

So....it's been some time since my last post. I honestly forgot I had one...oops! So...there's been quite a bit that has gone on but I don't want to type it all and I'm sure you don't want to read it all.

First and foremost, we got a Wii. Very fun. We're on the lookout for the Wii Fit. My aunt got the Wii Fit and while it completely destroyed my self-esteem, I enjoyed playing the games. And my competitive nature wants to get one, and show it who's boss. Shaky leg....I don't think so.

In other news, I am currently reading "Twilight". I have many friends that have read all the books and even went to the midnight release of the 4th book in the series. So I decided to read it to see what all the fuss was about. I wasn't sure about it because it's about vampires and I'm not really into sci-fi kinds of things. But I gave it a try and...I must say....it is good. They have made the movie "Twilight" which comes out in September (more faithful/obsessed readers might correct me on this) and I saw the preview for when I was at the movies on Saturday. It looks pretty good, so I may be joining the "gang" to go see it.

Oh, the softball team I played with on Friday nights got first in the league with a record of 15-1. That's right....we dominated. I had so much fun playing and can't wait til next summer for our co-ed team.

I take my elementary certification test on 9/6, so I guess I'll be reviewing some for that, so I can receive a passing score.

That's really it....mostly because I'm sick of typing and want to go read some more of "Twilight", so then I can start the next book!

Hope everyone has a great day!

P.S. Kristina, it's time for another Sir Biscuits story. Thanks.

I PASSED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Today I received an email with my "unofficial score" for my Mild/Moderate Certification test and I passed!!! Whew! That makes 2 tests down....eh...a couple more to go. But oh my goodness I am so excited and relieved that it's over and I passed. wOOt wOOt!!!

I am truly sorry you all missed my dance after I read my email. Hubby was the only one lucky enough to witness my awesome moves. Perhaps I can share them again....perhaps. :) :) :) :)

Um...so not much to write about here. I gotta say, I read all these different blogs and the people have such wonderful stories to tell and they're written so creatively, that it makes me think that my blog...well...stinks. Maybe I shouldn't be so hard on myself, I mean, it is new, but man I wish I had a great story to tell to wow you all.

I will say that this past Saturday I witnessed the hilarity of Jim Gaffigan with my 'rents, lil bro and Jeremy. Dear goodness...the man is funny. I never thought I would laugh so hard at someone talking about ketchup. It was wonderful. I'm pretty sure the girl in front of me could not become my best friend...don't think she was a fan of my laughter. And my mom was sitting right next to me so the 2 of us combined.....loud. Oh well....he's funny, I laugh loud, deal with it.

In other news, the softball team I am playing with on Friday nights, we are currently 8-0. That's right....we rule. While I am enjoying getting to play softball, I would like to see our Alameda Co-ed team reunite next season. Let me rephrase that... WE WILL REUNITE!!! So, anybody out there that would like to play co-ed softball next summer, let me know. It's never too early to recruit.
TOOTLES!!!

I Heart Nicholas Sparks!

Ok don't know if there are any other Nicholas Sparks fans out there but I have some fantabulous news. There is going to be another motion picture based off of another one of Nicholas Sparks' books. Why you ask? Because he is the best author ever! The US release date for the film is September 26th and it's based off his book Nights in Rodanthe. I watched the trailer on his website, nicholassparks.com, and I'm really excited. I think I'm going to have to read the book again as a refresher. YAY! While I am really excited about this new movie, I think they should make a movie based off his book The Wedding. Talk about a tearjerker. I mean it's like The Notebook on steroids. Very good!!!!

I also learned from the website that he is currently working on his next novel which is entitled, The Lucky One. I can't wait for that one to arrive. I recently finished his book Three Weeks With My Brother, a memoir. That too was excellent!!! I highly recommend it.

So there's my exciting news and my plug for Nicholas Sparks. wOOt!
Not much going on around here. I just wanted to post a quote from good ol' Dr. Phil.

"It's time common sense makes a come back in America."

Haha....love it.

Hewwo Bwoggers!

So...since I have become a blogger stalker, I thought I would start my own. That way my stalking won't seem so...creepy?
